Busy Fall - Falling Behind

Yes, falling behind on my posts.  It's been a very busy September. We bought a new house and then went into super overdrive to prepare ours to sell. It's now conditionally sold so I have some time to get caught up here.

Since my last post, we have acquired a Unique fridge and a Brown stove at the cottage. Carl Noel of Noel's Propane in Kazabazua delivered and hooked up our new appliances.  Carl has been in the business almost 50 years with his brother, having taken it over from their dad who ran it for many years before. He's witnessed many changes in the area over this time and I really enjoyed getting to know him.  He's a hard working man who seems to really know his business and takes good care of his customers, providing a very good orientation to new clients. They have several clients on the lake and will check the propane supply at all their clients' cottages whenever they have to come in to supply one.

With our new convenient fridge and stove, we hosted a reunion of my family on Labour Day weekend. The weather, although iffy when we started out, turned out to be fine most of the day.  Nieces got to enjoy canoeing and kayaking and some were brave enough to swim.

Here Melissa poses with our new stove.
