Every 30 years Neil and Boys Retreat to a Cottage ...

.....for some wonderfully juvenile times.

Nine men set sail on a dock... and didn't go anywhere
September 18, 2010

Yes, exaggerated stories like you wouldn't believe - and no one did.

Reminiscing about Camp Upchuck, teachers, cars, crazy nights and girls - that's where the exaggeration really comes into play.

Anyway, I'd love to tell you all about the Man's Spa Weekend at Petit Lac Cayamant, but we all took an oath:

What happens at Petit Lac Cayamant stays at Petit Lac Cayamant.

So I can't share anything.

Unless, of course, you promise not to tell anyone I told you.

What?

Are you Sure?

You promise?

Okay, great! Here  goes then, in a nutshell....

Billy Two Sheds smoked a big stogie and was in bed by 7:00. Jake and the Rocketman played some tunes. The Pharoah drove everyone nuts with his GD camera. Rocky bent the rod to fix the toilet. Big Al was the biggest beer snob. Skull Island creeped us all out, but next year we're bringing a boa and tiara to dress up the beaver. Rocky smashed his truck into a guardrail (actually he was the victim of a hit and run Suzy). Johnny B. caught a really small fish. Billy Two Sheds was in bed by 11:00. Patty was really mean to everyone and told the grossest story (can't repeat it here); Big Al told the funniest story (can't repeat it here). Johnny B. spiked the pizza (with what, we still don't know). Jake caught a really small fish and claimed it was Johnny's. Billy Two Sheds was in bed by 1:00.

As for me, I just took notes.  No exaggeration here!  Now don't go telling anyone I told you.

We're looking forward to Man's Spa Weekend 2011!

Man’s Spa Last Fall
(with apologies to Robert Service)

There are strange things done on a cottage run, by friends who are not yet old

The canoe trails hear the tallest tales, but the odd truth is told

September nights witness cheerful sights but the cheeriest of all

Was the night by the fire, when the lads were higher, at Man’s Spa last fall
